Traditional outdoor advertising has lost much of its impact. Billboards, posters, and banners are everywhere — most people ignore them. At the same time, brands are looking for new ways to stand out and connect with customers in more authentic and creative ways.
Instead of adding something to walls or sidewalks, you remove dirt using a stencil and a pressure washer. The result is a clean area in the shape of a brand’s logo or message — a natural-looking “ad” that catches attention precisely because it’s clean. It’s temporary, non-destructive, and completely legal in most areas since it’s technically cleaning, not painting.
You charge per campaign or per placement. A small stencil ad on a sidewalk could cost $100–$250, while a larger one near high-traffic areas could go for $300–$600.
Start small. Buy a used high-pressure washer and make a few free ads for friends’ businesses to build a photo portfolio. Post before-and-after photos and videos on social media — they tend to go viral. Once you have proof of demand, approach local businesses and offer a test campaign.
